Caught in the rain

It was another rainy evening in the city.  It's funny, my friend Mikayla and I had plans to go to dinner a couple of weeks ago and the weather was horrible (tons of rain and windy). So we ended up rescheduling, and as luck has it it rained again!  We decided to make the best of it and walk to dinner in the rain. I am wear this this 1940s dark grey wool set that I got from Etsy. I've worn this suit set a few times this season and it always transforms based on the accessories you pair with it. This time around I added this red art deco brooch from Vintage Soul geek and a red hat from Clappison Corners Antiques.  I kept the shoes and handbag simple so that the red accents could really pop. Mikayla and I went to dinner at Daphne.... yes I went back!  I had the Bolognese and it was delicious ! 

Early Spring Morning

This was the perfect Spring morning. The air was crisp, the birds were chirping and you could see some flowers starting to bloom. It was also warm enough for me to go out without a coat which is always exciting after a long winter. I am wearing a wool beige skirt with a pleated front, which mirrors the pleating on the front of the blouse. The skirt has a bit of a "faded" texture and colour to it so I decided to pair it with this green blazer that has a similar faded look. I think it makes the whole outfit look very unified. To tie the pieces even further together I added a cream brooch (same colour as the blouse) that has green details that match the blazer. and for shoes I added a brown pair of heeled loafers. It's a fairly casual outfit but perfect for a Spring day!
