Periwinkle Blue

My final Montreal post with my favourite outfit from the trip! I am wearing this amazing blue coat from Zara !  I got this coat last year because i fell in love with the colour, I was a little unsure of what i would pair it with because i'm not a big "cool" tone gal..I tend to stick to warmer tones like red, orange and yellow.  For this outfit I wore it with a simple grey turtleneck from TJ Max and a pair of gingham pants from Sfera. One of the colours on the pants is actually that same blue tone from the coat so it matched perfectly! For extra warmth I added this faux fur shawl that I picked up from Winners at the end of the winter last year and a matching blue beret ! Let me know what you guys think of this look in the comments below !

Teddy Coat

Whats cozier than a giant teddy coat?  I wore this coat in Montreal last weekend and it was SO warm and cozy ! I layered it over a thick knit sweater, a skirt and thermal tights and I was ready to walk in the cold all day ! This coat is from Zara (Link here) and I actually bought it in august when it came out and I've been waiting for the weather to get colder so I could wear it. I know I'll be getting a lot of use out of it this whole winter!  I even used it as a blanket in the car while driving up to Montreal and it was so warm! Halloween 2018 - Scary Clown

Halloween is one of the funnest times of the year ! Getting to dress up and doing fun makeup you don't normally get to wear. As people get older they care less and less about halloween which is honestly tragic, I wish people of all ages had costumes parties either the day of or the weekend prior and actually participated !  There is nothing worse than going to a themed party and more than half of the people wear normal clothes and don't try to go along with the theme. Growing up I always overheard people saying they were "too cool" or that they "can't be bothered" to try and I'm just trying to wrap my head around that mentality because it literally makes no sense to me. When I was in high school we had a masquerade formal because "EVERYONE" wanted to have a masquerade ball, yet... only like 5 people brought masks (I spent a whole week making mine with my mom to match my dress) it's like people want themed parties but don't want to participate?? its so strange lol. Did you have experiences like that growing up? I personally always try to go along with the theme because its fun and sometimes a way to get out of your usual outfits, Halloween is obviously one of those events that I love to go full out ! This year I decided to go for a more scary/creepy looking clown,  definitely an improvement from my clown costume in preschool (coloured wig, jumpsuit and all) I found this bodysuit at H&M (Link here) , it was really inexpensive and the quality is amazing ! I just layered it over some opaque tights (link here) and added a headband with a  small clown hat attached to it, also from H&M (Link here). If you want to see how I did my makeup make sure to check out the video below!

Plaid Pants in Montreal

I spent this past weekend in Montreal, Just a small getaway to clear my head and to recharge my creative energy (oh.. that sounded so lame.. sorry) You know how being in a new space/enviorment helps you think differently and gives you ideas?  I feel like thats what I needed. Also another reason I went to Montreal was to go to the barbie exhibit ! If you live in Montreal or around it I highly recommend it!  Its free admission and you get to see so many Barbies and re-live your childhood ! It's so inspiring to see all of the amazing outfits and detail that goes into them to creating the perfect look.  As you know I love colour and as I mentioned in my previous post I love having an overly matching look, something that I also saw throughout the exhibit. For this outfit I was inspired by that and wore these amazing yellow plaid pants from Shein ! (link to similar) What I love about them (Besides the amazing colour) is that they are high waisted and loose fitting. Making them perfect for cold days because you can layer them over tights for extra warmth. Thats what I did because I spent the majority of the day walking around outside. The pants also have an elastic waist so they do cinch in the waist which helps create a more feminine figure, I did however add a black belt to prevent the pants from looking like pyjamas lol.  For my top I wore a black turtleneck sweater from Jcrew and a black coat form H&M. To tie the yellow colour back in I wore this yellow beret which matched perfectly ! Let me know what you guys think of the look down in the comments below !

Green Plaid

As you guys know I love a overly coordinated look and the fall is the best time to do these sort of looks. During the fall you can play around with layering without having to be all covered up like in the winter. For this look I am wearing a thin plaid jacket from Shein and it is the Checkered zip up jacket (link here) I love the rich emerald green colour, its such a staple for this time of year and goes perfectly with the autumnal leaves. I layered that jacket over a white button up blouse from forever 21 (Link to similar here) and added a criss cross bow tie (actual name?) They add the nicest touch to any outfit, so if you want to get one for yourself here is the link! For my skirt I wore a simple black button up skirt from Forever 21(link to similar here), which you guys have seen countless times, it matches pretty much anything because its so simple. To tie the green back in the outfit I chose some green tights (Link here) and a green beret from Forever 21 (Link here)  that are the same shade as the one in the jacket. As for shoes I just went super simple and picked these small block heel shoes. Let me know what you guys think of this look in the comments below!

Red Tweed Dress

Another day another tweed look! Today we have this stunning red, black and white tweed dress from Shein ! it is the Tie neck tweed dress (Link here) As you all know red is my favourite colour to wear to whenever I see a red tweed piece I have to get it!  This piece is so girly and classic and can be worn so so many occasions and seasons just by switching the accessories. Since it it getting a bit chillier here I wore this dress with a black coat from H&M that has these cool gold clasps instead of buttons, it gives it a unique look. Instead of tights I wore these sock tights in red, a year ago I was totally agains socks and heels but I think when the sock is actually tights it gives it a completely different look. I've actually been loving that look lately and I've bought one too many pairs lol.  This particular pair is from Forever 21. Let me know what you guys think of this look in the comments below!

Tweed and Fur

You guys all know I love a matchings set, especially if its tweed. I'm always on the hunt for matching pieces because I think it always looks pulled together and effortless. Really nice matching sets are hard to find because a lot of stores don't carry them, which I always find odd because it seems like people really like them ? Whats not to love about them ? you can wear it together for a complete look OR separately and create completely different outfits. I got this particular matching set from Shein  and it is the Zip front faux fur plaid coat and skirt set (Link here). Not only is it tweed but it also the the cutest (and softest!!) faux fur trim on the skirt and the jacket making this the cutest matching set ever ! I am seriously obsessed with it ! and its perfect for this time of year because its warm but still light enough for a warmer fall day. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit minimal so I wore a plain white turtleneck underneath and a black beret. For accessories I just went for these silver circle earrings that I wear all the time!  Let me know what you guys think of this look in the comments below!
