A more casual New Years Look ! It can get cold during new years so having a statement jacket is crucial! This is a grey leopard print faux fur coat from H&M that I only take out on special occasions. I paired it with a little black dress, tights and a vintage hat. If you want to see more of this look check out my new years lookbook below.
Only a couple of days left until new years! This is definitely my favourite outfit to wear on New Years because its tulle and sparkly! I am wearing a black overlay sheer dress from Forever 21, it was originally floor length but I cut it to be the same length as the tulle skirt I wore underneath. I used the excess to create a hair ribbon. Underneath I am wearing a black tulle skirt and a sheer black top. I kept the shoes simple and just wore a pair of black heels! The new year is around the corner!! and its time to pull out all the sparkles from your closet to get ready for the big night! Here is a look that screams new years! Its a black dress with silver and gold sparkles with velvet stars and dots scattered all over it! and look at those sleeves!! I think the flared sleeves are such a fun detail. I layered the dress over a sleeveless white blouse so I could add a collar. for accessories I kept it simple I wore a gold headband and some dangly earrings. My favourite coat ever! OK I say this a lot but this coat is truly magnificent! I found it at a vintage store in Kensington Market market during the vintage crawl sale and I ended up paying around $70 for it with tax... which is incredible for such a unique piece in PERFECT condition! its a grey coat with black trim on the collar and straps on the sleeves. But I think we can all agree that the best part about the coat is the bow at the back! its so flattering and comfortable because of its shape. I paired the coat with some black tights and heeled oxford looking shoes, and topped it off with this black vintage hat! If you want to see more of this look check out my Christmas Lookbook!
I wanted to share a holiday look that didn't involve any red, I tend to wear red A LOT so I wanted to give you guys a break and tried pink ! Pink (Especially pastel pink) is "typically" seen as a spring/summer colour but I think it can can totally be worn in the winter! Pastels tend to give a winter wonderland look (Especially powder blue!) For this look I am wearing this pink tweed coat which I actually found while thrifting ! I paired it with a white beret and white leather gloves with a fur trim (From ever new) This look was actually featured in my friend Mikaylas pink Holiday lookbook among other Canadian blogger!
