Pink Suit in The Sun

I spend the day in Niagara on the lake on Saturday! One of my favourite places to take a day trip.  I'll probably be back again this summer because its still pretty early on in the season. It was a beautiful sunny day and I got to wear one of my new (to me) 1940s suit sets, from Ian Drummond Vintage. This particular one doesn't have a collar, which is a really interesting detail, I don't own any other suit set that doesn't have a collar. I wore it with a cream button up blouse and I added a cream leather flower brooch from the 1940s. I recently got this brooch and I love how flat it is!  Its a subtle way to wear a flower brooch..... without looking like Carrie Bradshaw.  For accessories I wanted to tie in some brown because the flower brooch has some brown details on it, and brown also complimented the pink shade of the suit set. I wore a cream 1940s hat with brown details from Mama Loves You Vintage. I also got a chance to wear one of my newest handbags, this gorgeous 1930s crochet brown handbag with a carved celluloid bar at the top, it has such beautiful flower details ! Even when you open the bag there is a row of small pink flowers all around the opening (sorry I didn't get a photo of the inside). For shoes I just wore some plain brown heeled loafers. It's a fairly casual outfit but perfect for a daytime stroll in the Spring.
