Plum Overalls

Over the past few months I've been really into overalls, in particular overall dresses.  I think they are a nice way to dress down an outfit, making them perfect for day to day wear. A lot of the time It's difficult to find overalls in the colours that I want, or  bright colours in general so when I saw this pair of overalls on the Romwe website I knew I had to have them ! Unfortunately they are sold out but I found some alternatives that look very similar. Starting with This plum coloured pair of overalls (Link here), This pair of Maroon overalls (link here), and This corduroy one (Link here). I paired these overalls with a white and black polka dot blouse from H&M, polka dots are a trend for Spring 2017 so be on the lookout for some polka dot pieces. I decided to go with fishnet tights because they are a little less harsh than just plain black tights. For shoes I grabbed this  pair of patent leather boots, one of my most worn pieces this fall/winter, they just add something extra to the outfit,  Then I finished the look off with a black cabby hat! Let me know what you guys think of this look in the comments below !

Leopard and Lace

Valentines day is just around the corner and I've been seeing all of these red red hearts all over the place. So of course since I love wearing the colour red I started pulling out all of the red pieces from my closet. The first thing I pulled out was this pleated red skirt from Dynamite, A store that I've been shopping a lot in this season!  I've been eyeing these Leather leggings that are perfect for this time of year, they can be worn on their own with a blouse for a fancier look (Perfect for a valentines day look) or under chunky sweater dresses for a more casual look. Not only do they look like the real thing but they are also incredibly comfortable. Leggings are also a  great item to wear during the winter months where you don't feel like going outside and want to be comfy while bundled up on the couch. Check out one of my favourite pair of leggings from Garage, seriously you'll never want to take them off! As for the days that I DO have to go outside I've been layering my outfits with this furry leopard print coat that I found at winners this past fall. I love it because it feels like being wrapped around a blanket, and the colour is beautiful. For my shirt I wore this vintage lace blouse that adds the girliest touch to any outfit. And of course topped the look of with a red beret that matches the skirt. Let me know your thoughts on this look in the comments below as well as if you want to see a valentines day Lookbook !

Jukebox Baby

I am back again with another 1970's inspired look! You guys really seemed to like my 70's lookbook back in the spring (Video Link here, Blog post link here) so I thought I would bring it back seeing as I got these amazing pants for Christmas (Actually I got this Lace blouse for Christmas too) The jeans are from Forever 21 and they have the most amazing fit to them and really elongate the legs ! I paired the jeans with this mustard lace blouse that is Also from Forever 21, I love the colour and the ruffle detailing.  Of course I had to throw in a beige beret, slightly tilted to the side (Very Bonnie Parker.) To emphasize that 1970's look I had to add these circle glasses, which I think top the look off nicely. I had such a fun time shooting this look with Adrienne at Sonic Boom on Spadina, an amazing record store. I hope you guys like this look !  Let me know if you want to see more looks inspired by other decades.

Blue Velvet

Hello guys! Another weekend just went by and we are heading into the last full weekend of January, time really seems to flying by. I'm really excited to share this outfit with you, it has a slight school-uniform-turned-80's-party-wear look to it and I am all about it ! This dress is is from Metisu and it is the Navy blue semi sheer blouse and velvet dungaree dress (Link here). it's a bit of a different look than I normally wear but I am obsessed with the straps going along the front part of the dress giving a slight "heart" look to it, it almost reminds me of the costumes typically used in the ballet Swan Lake. The dress comes in two parts so you can pair the blouse or the dress on its own or together to create this look. When I first received this dress I thought it was black but after wearing it out in the sun it is a nice rich blue velvet, which I think makes it a bit more interesting. I paired the dress with these these thick silver hoop earrings that I recently found on sale at the Bay. To show off the dress's neckline I wore my hair in a high ponytail with a black ribbon tied in a bow for a more girly look. I finished the look off with polka dot fishnet tights that mimic the polka dot print on the blouse. I hope you like this look as much as I do !  Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Little Lace Dress

Another week has gone by and it's finally the weekend. It seems like over the past few weeks time is flying by, I'm struggling to find time to do all the things I want to do during the day. Maybe its the short days and lack of daylight that is making me feel this way. By like 4pm the sun is pretty much gone, it also forces people to spend more time inside which make me so sad because I love being outside and walking around. But anyway I did want to share with you the latest addition to my dress collection ! and it is this amazing dress from Metisu and it is the white lace mini dress with contrast trim (Link here) It is seriously so beautiful, I am obsessed with the white crochet like lace that covers the entire dress and even creates ruffles on the sleeve. on the collar there is this bow brooch that has some silver detailing on it which I think completes the entire look. This dress is perfect for a romantic date or any event you might have coming up ! Let me know what you guys think of this style of dress in the comments !

Plaid Tweed at Sorelle and Co

I recently went to the new Sorelle and Co cafe in Yorkville. It opened closer to the end of 2017 and I finally had a chance to go. The cafe itself was beautiful, with white walls and gold accents. I had a black coffee and a chocolate cupcake, which was served on the most beautiful french style plate. all of their food is gluten free, soy free, vegan and preservative free, something that I did not know about till after. I think that is a huge plus for anyone who has those types of food restrictions and I honestly couldn't tell the difference. As for my outfit I wore and all tweed-plaid look, starting with this cream coloured shift dress from Forever 21 that has these small pockets on the front with a black button detailing. Under the dress I just wore a simple black mock neck from Ardene to keep me a bit warmer. But I think the best part of the whole outfit is the tweed coat!  I recently got this coat from Metisu  and it is the Blue button placket check tweed coat (Link here). I love the shade of blue, its different from anything I own so I was very excited to add it to my collection. This was the perfect outfit to wear to the cafe, it matches the style perfectly. Something that I always try to do when going to a restaurant... or pretty much anywhere... is to try to match the aesthetic of the location I am going to, its really fun for me as well as I'm always photo ready if there is a chance to get a new instagram ;)  .
