I always take a day trip to Fergus and Elora on the days leading up to Remembrance Day. The Wellington County Museum and Archives always does the most thoughtful tribute on their front lawn. They put tons of white signs with names of soldiers from Wellington County who died in the First World War, World War Two, Korean and Afghanistan War. On the other side there is a poppy and it says we will remember then. walking through the signs and seeing how many there are its very overwhelming and it does make you stop and reflect on the sacrifices these men and women made so that we could live the life we do today. Then I took a walk through downtown Fergus, which a beautiful little strip of stores. They have window displays remembering family member who fought for your country. Since I was in the area I also walked through Downtown Elora and had lunch.
As for my outfit I am wearing a grey1940s suit set with my crochet poppy. I also wore a 1940s blue hat, and a 1940s navy blue coat that I got from Vintage Soul Geek at the Toronto Vintage Clothing Show.

Thank you for this post, so important to never forget all the sacrifices made by selfless generations for us to live free ...
