Sipping Hot Chocolate in Paris

On my forth day in Paris I had breakfast at Angelinas. My friend Richelle recommended I go for hot chocolate. And after I looked it up I got a flashback a million photos I had seen on instagram over the years. Normally I don't go to food places that are hyped up on social media, they tend to look better than they taste. BUT since it was recommended by a friend I decided to give it a try! and I am so glad I did !  I wanted in line for a little under 30 minutes (after living through the pandemic I'm kinda used to waiting in line haha)  And the wait was worth it. The inside is BEAUTIFUL, with cream tones and warm lighting and paintings and mirrors on the walls. I got eggs Benedict and the hot chocolate of course! Funny enough the hot chocolate reminded me A LOT of the hot chocolate my dad makes at Christmas. He makes it from scratch by melting the chocolate and the consistency is the same (Super rich and thick) and it was even similar in flavour. So it was like a warm hug on a rainy Paris morning. The eggs Benedict were delicious as always, you cant really go wrong with eggs Benedict its my go to brunch dish.

After Breakfast I walked up Rue de Castiglione. I walked into Goutal,  it smelled so good from the sidewalk I had to go in and look at perfumes. I knew I wanted to look for a unique scent while in Paris so I gave it a try. I fell in love with Folie d'un soir. it's a very warm scent, perfect for fall and winter. sadly, I didn't end up buying it but I regret it. I told myself I would test it on my skin that day and If I loved it I would go back for it. I am very picky with perfumes and I like to test it on my skin for a day to see if the scent is too overpowering for me. I loved smelling it all day but I was too far away from the store and didn't go back to that area for the rest of my trip. Another bonus point for this perfume is that it lingered!  when I open my suitcase and move the blouse I was wearing I can still smell the perfume on the cuff from when I tested it on my wrist, and its been a few days! I'll probably pick it up on my next trip to Paris ;)

I walked through Place VendĂ´me and it was raining so much! I'm glad I brought and umbrella from the hotel because they were calling for rain all day....even if it was a bright yellow colour lol.

It was raining too hard to walk around outside so we ended up going into the Galeries Lafayette, Which is stunning!  I also walked by the Boissier stand and it took A LOT of self control to not buy anything. The packaging is beautiful! Those were basically the highlights of my fourth day in Paris. I ended up walking by a grocery store and picking up a few treats for dinner and having a bit of a picnic at the hotel because of the rain. I was really full from Breakfast (Which was more of a brunch because we ate at like 11). Overall it was a great day even with the rain!
