Back In Seville

Going to Seville is like going back home. I've been going to seville at least once a year for the past 10 years. Its a much smaller city than Madrid of Barcelona so it has a small town charm. The buildings are BEAUTIFUL and everything is walking distance. The fashion is incredible with more preppy and classic styles. It's incredibly safe and you can get lost wandering around all of the small streets.... in a good way, meaning you want to keep exploring all the small shops and restaurants seville has to offer.

I arrived in Seville late at night so I went straight to bed. I work up and realized I brought the rain with me....Luckily the hotel I was staying at had a much nicer umbrellas than the one from my hotel in Paris. It was suppose to be really hot in Seville which is what I packed for but the weather changed and it was 10 degrees colder than expected. I ended up wearing my cardigan most of the time, except for a small window in the middle of the day.

The first day I was in Seville I wore a 1960s burgundy and grey checkered dress that has double breasted buttons along the front. I intended to wear this dress with heels but I didn't want them to get ruined in the rain so I wore my black oxfords instead. If you haven't noticed from my previous travel posts I ended up using the same vintage bag the whole trip! To protect my hair I wrapped one of my brown scarves on my head.  I started the day shopping along Calle TetĂşan, I walked about half way through and then took a break for lunch.

Now... I had a huge breakfast at the hotel so I went to my favourite ice cream place to get ice cream for lunch! Amorino!  I've sure you've seen a photo of this ice cream on my instagram before because I take the exact photo every time I'm in Seville! It's right cross from the cathedral so its always the backdrop for my ice cream photos lol. My go to order is dulce de leche and stracciatella, My macaron is ALWAYS salted caramel but they had a limited edition cheesecake flavour so I figured I would give that a try. It was a good but I think i'll stick to salted caramel. The Ice cream was delicious as always. Funny enough this is the only time of the year where I get my ice cream in a cone, I always get it in a cup because I'm not fond of ice cream cones.

Shopping down Calle TetĂşan
I continued shopping for the rest of the day. Normally I find A LOT of clothes but since my style has changed a lot during the pandemic I didn't find as much this time around. I did however find a vintage inspired dress in a brown colour and I think it's going to look perfect with vintage accessories. I also found a ZOETROPE. I have only ever seen these in photos and movies! I was so excited, as soon as I saw it in the window of the paper shop I knew I had to see it and try it for myself! I loved it so much but I didn't know if I had enough room in my suitcase or even place to put it if I got it. So I left it behind...

Finishing the first day with dinner at La Casa Del Tesorero. I come here every time I'm in Seville. Normally I get Pasta but they changed the menu a bit during the pandemic and they had a new roasted chicken so I decided to try it. And wow was it delicious! I think I have a new favourite dish at this restaurant!  It was so flavourful and the perfect meal to eat on a rainy evening. That pretty much wraps up my first day in Seville!  Like I said Seville is like my home away from home, it's where I come to relax, shop and eat. I've seen all of the main attractions already so I just come to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere.
