Tweed dress

As I've mentioned on my blog before, I have a slight obsession with tweed. Its something that you don't see as much in stores. When I saw this dress on the Metisu website I knew I had to have it !  It is the Deep red button front check mini dress (link here). It fits as tho it was made for me, I love that its a bit on the shorter side because it balances out the more covered up top. It also has these beautiful gold buttons going along the right side which add an incredible detail. I paired the dress with these vintage style types with the line going along the back of the leg and some simple black heels. And of course to top the look off I added a red bow in my hair. Let me know your thoughts on tweed dresses in the comments !

Green and Pink lace

Its crazy how we are already half way through November ! all the christmas decorations are starting to pop up everywhere and christmas markets are starting to set up for the holiday season. it always seems like the second half of the year goes by so fast, its probably because the days are shorter and its a busy time of year. With the holidays coming up I'm starting to think about event dresses, thats probably the best part about this time of year, all the parties and opportunities to get dresses up. One of the newest additions to my dress collection is this green and pink dress from Metisu and it is the Multicoloured embroidered flower hollow out mini dress (link here). I am obsessed with the combination of colours I feel like you rarely see pink and green mixed together but I think it blends beautifully. The entire dress is made up of lace that has a black liner attached to it. This dress is perfect for this time of year because it has quarter length sleeves which provides a bit more warmth. The sleeves also have a slight flared out detail, I like that since the sleeves are shorter you don't have the flared out section covering your hands, which I personally find annoying when you are trying to eat lol . I paired this dress with dingily pearl earrings from Forever 21 and tied my hair in a low ponytail with a black ribbon tied into a bow (its actually a skinny scarf from a blouse but hey it works) Let my know what sort of christmas posts you want me to do this year !

Red flowers in November

Hello its finally the weekend ! I feel like this week has felt like the longest week ever. This is partly due to the fact that I've been sick the whole week, as well as the time change which makes daylight incredibly short. Thats what I hate about this time of year, it seems like its always dark outside and I always feel like its really late when its actually 7pm lol. But the good thing about this time of year is that christmas is fast approaching which is my favourite time of the year! all the stores are decorating for christmas ! you start to hear christmas music ! some people say its too early but I'm ready ! For this look I am wearing this red floral blouse from Romwe, unfortunately it is currently sold out in this colour but they do have a black version which I linked here. I love the red velvet bow at the front I think its such a nice detail. i'm also a huge fan of the floral print, which I tend to stay away from during the fall/winter months but this blouse if perfect for this time of year. I paired the blouse with this green polka dot skirt from wet seal, I normally don't mix prints but I  in this case it works because the dots are so small. To keep myself warm I added this red beret, which I pinned a little bird brooch for some interest. As for the coat I just draped a long black coat that has these amazing gold buttons, I thought it matched the style perfectly and also kept my legs a little bit warmer ! What do you guys think of mixing prints ?

White lace blouse

As most of us, once the weather cools I put away all of my pastel coloured clothes and stick to more dark muted tones. This year I'm trying to expand the range of colours in my winter wardrobe. I usually stick to the classics; black, blue, and grey of course !  I also throw in red, orange, dark green and magenta.  I always end up sicking to those colours because they are "safe" for winter and don't look out of place. In hope to try something different I  incorporates baby blue which is a colour I mainly use in the spring/summer but when mixed with white it almost creates a winter wonderland illusion. The skirt is from H&M, I love the asymmetrical line going across the front! its not something that I would normally wear but its actually very figure flattering. The blouse that I am wearing I actually thrifted but it is originally from Sirens. For shoes I actually wore this think lace print socks and wore them with some baby blue heels, I was originally going to wear it with white boots but it seems a little aggressive for such a feminine look.

Tweed and Pearls

What makes an outfit more perfect than Tweed and pearls?? I've always been a huge fan of tweed ever since I was little. It always adds a touch of elegance and class to any outfit, its probably because its a huge nod at Chanel.... and i mean who doesn't love a Chanel inspired outfit. For this outfit I am wearing this tweed coat from Shein and it is the frayed trim pearl button tweed blazer (link here), I am obsessed with the pink colour as well as the pearl buttons, you can never go wrong with pearl buttons. I wanted to keep the pearl thing going to I grabbed this black ruffled skirt that has pearls lining the waist, the skirt is from forever 21 but I've honestly had it in my closet for about 7 years..... its one of those pieces I can't seem to get rid of. I paired the shirt with a simple cream blouse and I added a little black black cross tie. but to top the look  off with i had to add a  black beret that has pearls on it, this one is from Stradivarius. Let me know what you guys think of this look !
