Green Paisley

Hi Guys happy Monday ! It's the start of a new week and the beginning of the second half of July...  Do you ever create a list of things you want to do or see during the summer and then summer flies by and you don't even do half of them? because same.  With only about a month and a half of summer left I'm going to try an squeeze as many activities as I can before the cold weather arrives. I do have a trip to Spain planned for the middle to end of august so hopefully I can get my list done before then. I've also been searching through all the sales these past few weeks to find some new summer pieces to take with me on my trip, during my search I found this amazing green paisley dress and I fell in love with it! Its from Zara, unfortunately It is no longer on their website due to the nature of the sale BUT it is from this season so you might be able to find it at your local Zara (at an amazing price!) The dress has a sort of late 1960's feel to it with the green colour and the paisley print, I also love that it is a little bit shorter because it further emphasizes that 60's look. To keep that theme going I grabbed my cream coloured booties that I recently got from forever 21, and I cant stop wearing them!  I feel like they match any outfit ! For earrings I grabbed these massive pearl circle earrings from Aldo, they definitely make a statement so no necklace is required when I wear them ! I've been trying to get some more earrings lately, I think they are a really fun accessory that you can play around with. Let me know your thoughts in the comments below !

Summer Lookbook 2018

Hello Happy Friday ! I wanted to finally share my Summer Lookbook with you guys !  I know its a little bit late seeing as its already mid July but better late than never (Why do I feel like I say that a lot?... anyway) Starting off with one of my favourite looks, I have this long sleeve floral dress from Shein and it is the Layered Sleeve Daisy Print Dress (Link here.) I paired the dress with these cream coloured boots from Forever 21 (Link here) These were a recent purchase and I love them ! They have a 1960's look to them which you guys know I love, but I think what really drew me to them is that they are cream instead of white... because lets face it I don't need another  pair of white boots haha.  For my bag I grabbed this straw bag that I bought in a Street market in Peru. I regret not getting more of these types of bags from there because they had a huge variety and they were really cheap compared to one of the fast fashion stores. As well as buying from a local market, where the items are hand made, definitely goes a longer way than from a chain store. unfortunately I didn't have enough space in my bag to buy more... sigh.. oh well next time!

The Second look has a bit more of a nautical vibe with the striped hat and red and cream tones, which makes this look perfect for the summer ! Starting with the main part of the outfit, the matching set, I got this one from Shein last summer so it's unfortunately not available anymore (Weh) Its made from this really thin linen-like material, making it really lightweight and perfect for the warmer weather. I layered that over a simple red vogue T-shirt. But what really pulls this outfit together is the hat!  I recently got this hat from Free People (As seen in my last haul, click here) The hat is made by Brixton and it is still in stock an on sale (Click here.) I also wore some simple black block heels and grabbed a black circle bag that my boyfriend gave me for Christmas.

The Third look is actually my favourite look out of the bunch ! I think its so cute! and guess what?? would you believe me if I told you that I've had this dress since I was 7? WELL ITS TRUE! I found it recently and got it hemmed so that it would be a little bit shorter (Gotta love the oversized look form the 90's...) I think the dress looks adorable especially when layered over a ruffle sleeved blouse. This particular blouse is from Zara but I got it about 2 years ago, so it is no longer available, but I did find this awesome dupe! (Link here) I might have to get one of these myself in case something happened to the one I am wearing. For accessories I just wrapped a  skinny scarf (Thrifted) around my ponytail, which added to the femininity of the dress. I definitely want to find more of these types of dressers,  that are a bit bulkier and bell out but are on the shorter side  (Smock dress?) I think they are really flattering and just overall fun to wear!

For the last look of the lookbook I have another red look... What can I say... you all know red is my favourite colour to wear.  I have this red and white chiffon skirt that I recently picked up from the Zara Sale, Unfortunately its no longer on the website but you might be able to find in stores still ! I paired the skirt with a red and white polka dot blouse that I thrifted. I love mixing prints by inverting the colour, if you would like to know more about how I mix prints I have a whole video on it ! (Link here.) To top the look off I just grabbed a red beret because I think it matched the Parisian vibes of the outfit. If you would like to see more of these looks as well as a BONUS summer look make sure to check out the video below !

Plaid Pants In The Summer

Hi Guys happy Wednesday ! I can't believe we are almost in the middle of July ! Summer is flying by!   I'm currently in a weird place where I have a list of summer outfits that I haven't had a chance to wear yet.... but I am also (Already) bored of summer clothes and I want to start layering and wearing fall clothes. Side note: Do you ever wake up in the middle of the summer and wish it was halloween? cuz same.  I used to love summer and I still do, I like that it gives you an opportunity to be outside and not worry about freezing to death... and of course patio season ! But the colder seasons give you an opportunity to be more creative with your outfits because you can layer!  With this in mind I decided to pull out some plaid pants ! I recently got these from Shein and let me tell you... they are SO comfortable ! I am actually obsessed, as soon as I tried them on I knew I couldn't wait till the fall to wear them. They are the Slant pocket self belted plaid pants (Link here) I decided to pair them with a white t-shirt to keep myself a bit cooler.  However I wanted to add  in some colour so I tie a sweater around my neck, that just so happens to be the same shade of blue as the one in the pants (Ah I love overly matching) For shoes I just wore these black and white oxford slides that are incredibly comfortable! and finished the look off with some black cat eye shades from Aldo (Link here). Let me know what you guys think of this look in the comments below !

Matching set : 3 Ways to Style

Hi Guys ! So today I have a 3 ways to style a matching set!  I love matching sets I think they are so  fun  and easy to wear !  So I thought I would start off with the set together, seeing as thats the way its intended to be worn. This set is from Shein  and it is the Flutter sleeve twist front top and wide waist shorts set (Link here) The set itself is super comfortable and perfect for the summer months because its so airy!  I paired the set with a long strand of lace tied in my hair for an extra detail and some strappy high heeled sandals from H&M.

For this look I decided to split the set up and style the shorts. I paired it with this lace off the shoulder top from Pull and bear. I think it adds a feminine look to the outfit because of the delicate lace. For shoes I just wore these white cross over sandals which makes the looks a little more casual! I think my favourite thing about these shorts is that they are high waisted which makes them extra comfortable as well as they are not too short! so you don't have to constantly pull them down ! Matching set : link

For the third look I style to top with a denim skirt form H&M , which is one of the most worn pieces in my wardrobe !   I recently did a video showing 10 ways to style a denim skirt (Link here). I also added a straw hat and some braids to give the look a more bohemian feel. This look is a perfect day time look when you are running errands or just walking around! matching set (Link) Let me know which look is your favourite in the comments below !

Queens Plate 2018

This past weekend I went to the 159th Queens Plate, which its Crazy to think that it's been around since before Canada became a country ! It's my favourite event of the year, I love getting dressed up and wearing a fascinator I think its so much fun ! If you want to see what I wore on previous years just click the following dates:  2017, 2016. Next year I think I want to go for a cool toned outfit like baby blue or lavender, but if I do choose a warm toned I would go with yellow. Anyway I'm side tracking.. The event itself was great!  So many food stands and drink vendors!  But my favourite part is definitely walking around seeing everyone all dressed up. I will say tho.. it was REALLY hot outside that day, it felt like 40 something degrees after you include humidity. I'm not sure how guys were able to manage wearing suits in that kind of weather, I was dying in a sleeveless dress...mind you my dress has a silk lining lol. My dress is from Metisu and I am in love with the rose print I think its so feminine especially when paired with the fit and flare fit.  Let me know what you guys think of the outfit in the comments below !
