1970's Spring Lookbook

LOOK N.1

For the first look I am wearing one of my favourite dresses ever! I got it from Winners this past winter and I've been waiting for it to get a little bit warmer out so that I can wear it without a coat! I love the warm tones and the print, it sorta reminds me of a kaleidoscope. But what I think makes the dress is the white collar and cuffs, which is something that I find hard to find (Unless its a black dress.) I paired the dress with these snake print maroon heels that scream 1970's! 

LOOK N.2

The second look is a bit more casual, I am wearing my beloved denim overall dress from Simons!  I've worn it way too many times this season already and its only the beginning of May. I paired it with this blue floral print blouse from Zara, something I would typically wear in the fall but it can be worn all year round. To add a bit more colour I wore these knee length boots from Forever 21

LOOK N.3
For the third look I am wearing this amazing skirt that I got at a vintage store downtown its such a unique print that you normally don't see. I also love that the skirt is really heavy and stiff because it helps give the outfit a structured look. For my top I just wore this Grey turtleneck from Le Chateau that I wore numerous time this winter as well as some silver statement earrings. 

LOOK N.4

The fourth look is also a bit more casual I wore these brick slightly flared pants that I got for $5 from Winners, yes $5! and I paired them with this striped turtleneck that had the same brick colour on one of the stripes. For shoes I wore a simple pair of black platform shoes from H&M

LOOK N.5

For the final look I am wearing this sand coloured skirt from H&M, I love the cutouts and the print on the skirt I think its really unique and gives it that 70's vibe I was looking for. I paired the skirt with a simple black mock neck top, but I think what makes the look is the scarf I tied in my hair. The skinny scarf is Balmain and I just tied it to make it look like a headband but kept the bow on the side for some interest. For shoes I wore a simple pair of black platforms to tie the whole look together.

Orange Coat

We're in that transitional period where you wear a skirt with no tights one day and a coat the next, On this day it was a little bit chilly so I wore this orange and black houndstooth/tweed looking coat from H&M. (This coat was in my most recent haul on my youtube channel ! check it out here) I feel like orange is one of those underrated colours that everyone hates on and I'm not really sure why!  its a great colour that I wish was around more ! I paired this coat with these really fun orange tights from H&M that pulls the darker orange tons from the coat. Under the coat I just wore a simple ribbed mock neck top and a camel suede skirt both from H&M (I just realized my entire outfit is from H&M lolll) to add a bit more interest to the outfit I wore this yellow ribbon in my hair. This outfit was perfect for a day of shopping and going to get coffee. What are your thoughts on the colour orange? 

Pleated Skirt

Since springs arrival (FINALLY) I've been slowing starting to pull some pastel pieces from my closet, which by the way I'll be filming a decluttering and switching over my closet video on my youtube channel so make sure to subscribe and be on the lookout for that ! I haven't done much spring shopping yet, seeing as I was waiting for the weather to get  a little but warmer, But I did recently get this midi skirt from Shein.  It is the Tiered Mesh Pleated Skirt (Link here), and I am OBSESSED with the colours! They are so beautiful!  I have a similar skirt to this but in plaid pink but it doesn't have the same effect and detail that this one has!  It has a pale rose pink, cream and a lavender-grey. Since the skirt has an elastic waist, which typically would be a deal breaker for me, I decided to wear this thick white patent belt that I got from Amazon, Its the perfect accessory for this skirt ! For my top I just kept it simple and wore this cream ribbed mock neck that matches the cream pleats perfectly ! For shoes I pulled the lavender-grey from the skirt, which luckily I had in my closet, they are these small court heels from H&M. To top the look off I, of course, had to add a beret ! I pulled the pink from the skirt to tie the whole look together. Let me know what you guys think of this outfit in the comments below ! 

Polka Dot Jumpsuit

Hello, it feels like its been forever since I talked to you guys.... its been like 3 weeks which to me feels like a lifetime. Spring has finally arrived here in Toronto which is a nice change from the huge ice storm we had last weekend. I thought I would give spring a nice welcome by wearing this bright pink polka dot jumpsuit from Shein. and it is the Wide leg polka dot cami jumpsuit (Link here), this piece is perfect for the spring and summer! it can be layered over a white top white its still a little chilly (Like I did !) but it can also be worn on its own during the warmer months. Its made from a really lightweight material which makes it even more perfect for this time of year. I've always had a soft spot for polka dots I think they are so feminine an a great all year round print that never goes out of style. This Spring and summer in particular polka dots seem to be everywhere so make sure to get tour hands on some polka dot pieces because they are sure to be timeless! 

Goodbye Winter

Now that its April I am ready to say goodbye to winter, but it seems like winter isn't ready to say goodbye. We've gotten some nice spring days but for the most part its still really cold, its a weird time because I'm so done with winter clothes but its not quite warm enough for spring clothes. For this outfit I am wearing this amazing plaid skirt that I thrifted from Black Market on Queen St West. Its one of my favourite skirts !  I paired it with a camel sweater from H&M I've had this sweater for a few years and I wear it constantly, its so soft and the crop is perfect! I also added a little dangily brooch from Aldo for some interest. To keep myself warm I wore this faux fur hat that matches the lighter tons in the skirt.
