Matching Set and Mini Pink Backpack

Something that I think is making a comeback are matching sets! I love the idea of having a pair of pants/shorts or even a skirt that has a jacket that goes perfectly with it. Its something women popularized in the 60's with women like Jackie O and has been carried on to members of the British royal family to this day. Now I'm not saying matching two pieces are everywhere at the moment , but they are definitely out there! and I've started to see them coming into stores for pre fall fashion.  I will admit  I do find it hard to find a matching set in my size as well as in classic prints or Silhouettes !  I once saw a matching two piece set  at a thrift store in pastel yellow and white houndstooth, my hurt fluttered until I looked at the size and noticed it was a few sizes bigger, I regret not buying it and getting it tailored. It was perfect!!! But anyway I saw this beautiful simple two piece set on the shein website and I knew I had to have it ! it's so beautiful and simple and a  really light material for the summer time which is what I was hoping for ! It is the Double breasted blazer with elastic waist shorts, unfortunately the cream colour is currently sold out BUT it also come in a beautiful pastel aqua colour (link here) which I'm debating getting for myself because its just so pretty (and comfortable) ! The shorts are really fitted at the waist due to the elastic on it but then it flares out just the right amount over the legs. It's incredibly flattering, even if they are a little on the short side ;)  For accessories I grabbed this mini pink backpack from Victorias secret that I'm currently obsessed with! it matches with so many different outfit ! I pulled the pink again with this colourful flower bouquet brooch I got from Ebay, you can find so many amazing brooches for literally two dollars! I topped the look off with a cream coloured bow which I haven't worn in such a long time !  I always feel so feminine with a bow or ribbon in my hair :) What are your thoughts on matching sets ?

Black and White Vines

ok...where do I even start with this dress.... It is stunning ! I've been really into ruffled skirts/dresses lately and this one is pure perfection ! I love the slightly sheer fabric that forms the ruffles as well as the beautiful black vine like detailing that covers the whole dress.  The edges have this circle trim to them that I think adds some really nice interest to the dress. This dress is from Metisu  and it is the Black Hollow Out Embroidered Design Maxi Dress (link here) it's actually currently on sale if you are interested ! I could honestly live in this dress every day.... ok I say that a lot but if I could live in fancy dresses for the rest of my life I would be so happy (rolling up to mcds in a gown = me.) I kept the rest of the outfit pretty simple and I wore these thin strappy black heels that almost go unnoticed underneath all the ruffles, but they are from Agaci. And for my hair I did a bit of the throwback to my headband days (I really need to bring that back tho...) and I wore this pearl headband that has a black flower on the side with some more pearls in the center. Let me know what you guys think in the comments as well as whats something you could wear every day for the rest of your life?

Sunday Stroll and a Beret

Hello !  I hope you all had an amazing weekend!  On Friday I just stayed home and watched a movie with my boyfriend, it was a great way to wind down from the week. On Saturday my boyfriend and I went to an antique market where I found the coolest old camera! which of course I had to take home with me, you'll definitely be seeing it in future posts ! After the market we decided to have a picnic on the sand by the lake, we had some wine chatted and watched the sunset. Lucky for us it was a gorgeous sunny day so the sunset was perfect ! Sunday was more of a relaxed day, I went for a stroll with Adrienne around Osgoode Hall and of course we went to go eat fries. We later met up with Mikayla and did a little bit of shopping and her and I went to grab a coffee at Dineens coffee shop on yonge and Temperance, I actually ended up getting their ice tea and I highly recommend it !  I'm not a tea drinker so I was surprised at how delicious it was! on Sunday I wore this crochet ruffled top from Make Me Chic  and it is the White tie neck ruffle trim hollow out crochet blouse (Link Here). I am obsessed with this shirt I think its so unique and a twist on the off the shoulder trend that has been happening for about two years now (I never quite hopped on board) I paired it with a simple black skirt that buttons all along the front and decided to add a red beret for a pop of colour. This look has such Parisian vibes I love it ! What were you up to this weekend?

The Sky Turns Pink

Ah is there anything better than summer sunsets by the lake! I love just sitting on the rocks and watching the sky turn pink. I think we can all agree that sunsets are the best part of the day, they are so beautiful and calming and no matter how many times you've seen one you're still amazed at how beautiful they are. With that in mine I'm trying to spend as much time outside as I can because I know come winter I'll be complaining that I'm stuck inside all day and wont be able to enjoy nature as much as I can in the summertime. To watch the sunset on Wednesday I  wore this beautiful lace dress form Metisu and it's the White stripes pattern lace midi dress (link here) I love the black floral like detailing going cross the whole dress I think its very feminine and perfect for a summer night. I love wearing white dresses in the summertimes they are so effortless and beautiful, especially when made from lace. I'm hoping to have time to sit outside and watch the sunset again this weekend so make sure to follow me on instagram to see what I'm up to ! :) as well as my June haul just went up on my youtube channel so if you want to see what I've been buying this past month make sure to check it out!

Queens Plate 2017

Hello ! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend ! On Sunday I went to the Queens Plate,  It's one of my favourite events of the year ! I love getting dressed up and seeing everyones outfits, its one of those events where people go full out fashion wise. I opted for an all light pink ensemble, I got this beautiful ruffled skirt recently from H&M (it was on sale for $20!!!! gotta love end of season clearance) and I paired it with this light pink off the shoulder top from Zara. This shirt actually belonged to my mom a few years ago and she gave it to me recently, it just so happened to be the same colour as the skirt ! When paired together it creates the most feminine outfit ! For my Fascinator I picked an ivory coloured one that has these small feathers sticking out from the top, I thought it matched perfectly to the outfit and it really completed the whole look.  I kept the rest of the outfit simple because the skirt is such statement piece that I really wanted to keep that the focus of the outfit so I just wore plain nude heels. I also grabbed this gorgeous light gold clutch that reflected the light pink when places close to the skirt.  If you want to see what I was up to while I was at the queens plate make sure to check out my Vlog down below !
