The Fuzziest Sweater

With a new season comes change and lately I've been trying out a few different looks and styles I haven't explored in the past and I'm having so much fun !  I've been going into stores and finding some new items to introduce to my wardrobe so make sure to subscribe to my youtube channel for my upcoming April haul (and some other exciting videos coming this month)  because some of you might be surprised with the things I've been buying. For this look I went for something a bit more casual than I normally choose, I wore my favourite denim skirt from H&M and paired it with this ultra fuzzy coral coloured sweater that I recently got from Forever 21. Layered on top I wore this camel coat because as much as we all want the warmer weather it's still a bit chilly on most days. But I think what really completes the look is the leaf like brooch on my coat that sort of blends all the colours from the outfit together into once piece,  I live for those kind of details. Whats your favourite thing to wear at the moment?

Flower Blooms

We are finally getting some warmer weather and I'm slowly starting to pull out some of my spring dresses from storage. I soon realized I needed a few more dresses for in between seasons that weren't too warm or too summer-y, you know how spring is.. the mornings are cool and then it warms up in the afternoon. I am so happy I added this Pink lace dress to my collection !  This dress is the Pink Keyhole Embroidered floral skater dress  from Metisu . This dress is no surprise if you watched my April haul  (I do monthly hauls on my youtube channel!) You would know how obsessed I am with this dress, I think my favourite part is the unique type of lace it has, which almost gives the illusion of a "splatter lace." I also love that the liner underneath is fairly short so the lace is more see through at the bottom, its a really nice and unexpected detail. Of course you can't talk about this dress without mentioning the floral embroidery, the flowers are seriously the perfect touch and really give I that spring! I tied this small white and black polka dot sash around my waist which gave this look an even more feminine feel to it. Pink is everywhere this season so I am excited to wear this dress throughout the spring !

Tiered Dress

What is more beautiful that a ruffled tiered dress? I've been obsessed with this Black sheer sleeve polka dot tiered dress from Make me chic since the moment I saw it on the website! I didn't have anything like this in my closet so I just had to have it !  The tier effect is such a beautiful nod to the 1920's, which is an era of beautiful flapper fashion and as soon as I put on this dress I felt like I had walked out of a machine into the 1920's. The sheer mesh on top of the dress has a polka dot pattern which  is such a nice feminine touch but I think my favourite part of the whole dress is the little belled out sleeves which completes the look perfectly!  I paired the dress with a jewelled headband from Forever 21 and some big gold earrings. This dress literally makes me want to run and spin around in circles just so that the ruffles spin and that makes me immensity happy! I hope you guys have an amazing weekend ahead if you want to keep up with I'm doing this weekend make sure you follow me on instagram (although I'll probably be outfit spinning in this dress all weekend)

60's Mod Coat

With the arrival of April I'm happy to be able to wear some brighter/lighter coats! This particular coat  (from Topshop) is one of my favourites because love all of the shades of red in the houndstooth pattern.... you guys know how much I love houndstooth, it was basically made for me! Again this coat has a 1960's mod shape which as I mentioned in my last blog post I've been obsessed with ! its so girly and very flattering to wear with a skirt ad tights, I feel like it elongates your legs, which I mean is flattering for everyone ! under the coat I just wore a black skirt and a white knit sweater, nothing too fancy because I wanted to coat to be the main focus of the outfit. I also wore these super cute heels that have three buckles going across (they look nice but don't wear them to shop... takes too long to take on and off lol) This outfit would be perfect for going to get lunch in the city and just hanging out with friends.

Bubble Gum Pink

Bright pink has been everywhere these past few weeks, I keep seeing it in street style shots as well as in all the stores. As much as I love pink I've always gravitated towards lighter more pastel shades rather than bright pink. This coat might actually be one of the brightest pink pieces in my collection. I love its girly shape and colour. I've always loved this sort of mod style coats that are fitted at the shoulders and then sorta bell out towards the bottom, it reminds me of dresses from the 1960's and anything that gives a nod to that era makes me immensely happy ! I paired it with some simpler pieces like this super soft cream sweater which happens to be my most worn top in my closet. I got this sweater a few years ago in the elderly lady section at sears and its everything I wanted and more. To give the outfit some interest I wore this black and white plaid skirt. Now you guys know how much I love plaid skirts so you know I am trying to work them into my outfits before it gets super warm outside haha.  I tied the black and white back into the outfit through the shoes, these are one of my favourite pairs of shoes they have a slight vintage look to them that I love! I feel like lately I've been looking more into vintage fashion, which is something I've always been interested in, but lately it's all I've been thinking about. If any of you have any good recommendations of books/movies from the 60's/70's I should look into let me know in the comments below!
