Cartier Christmas

Here is another holiday look that isn't only great for the holidays but also for the rest of the winter ! (Faux) Fur has been a favourite of mine for a few winters now but more so this year I feel like its becoming more and more popular! In this look I am wearing what I would consider to be the most extravagant fur hat, its a little bit on the larger side and it has these amazing grey and black tones that I am obsessed with. Another great thing about this hat is that it has a bit of insulation on the inside which prevents wind from going right through it, really important if you are looking for one for warm (and not decoration haha.) I paired the hat with a gray and black coat that I got at H&M a couple of years ago but it is definitely still one of my favourites!  The outfit needed a little something so I wore a sweater that has a pearl collar on it to give it a little bit of interest, and popped on a broach because is an outfit really complete without a brooch? :) The countdown is on and there are less than 5 days before Christmas and I am (un)patiently waiting for its arrival ! If you want to see what i've been up to so far this holiday season ? i've been doing weekly vlogs on your youtube channel! here is a link to the playlist!  I hope you are enjoying this christmas season as much as I am !

Perfect Plaid Dress

For today post I have another holiday look for you, this one is probably the least "obviously Christmas" look of the bunch, you can definitely wear this all year round. This look features THE perfect plaid dress from Zara ( link here )  I am obsessed the purple and green plaid (on the website it says blue and green but its more of a purple) It's such a beautiful combination and perfect for the holidays !  The dress ties into a bow which you know I love!  And the frills on the bottom give it a feminine touch. I kept the rest of the outfit simple by wearing black tights and black shoes. This dress would be perfect to wear for Christmas dinner or a casual holiday party due to its simple nature and subtle hint at Christmas. There is less than a week till christmas and all I need to do is finish all my wrapping, I'm happy to be done all my shopping so now I get to enjoy the holidays and spend my time drinking hot chocolate, eating sugar cookies and spending time with family and friends !

Beige and Red Christmas

Hi guys ! So to end the week off I'm sharing with you one of my favourite looks for Christmas. Its really simple and its not a red and green outfit that screams Christmas. I wore this camel coloured sweater with a bright red skirt, you guys know how much I love red so it obviously had to be included! since its freezing outside a jacket is necessary so I wore a camel coloured one overtop of the sweater, I really like wearing similar coloured sweater/jacket combinations I find that it actually comes off as really elegant. I was trying to keep the whole outfit duel toned so for tights I just wore these lace print cream ones. To pull in some more red I put on a red beret and red mary jane shoes. These shoes are so cute!  and as I mentioned in a previous post they remind me of and old vintage Christmas card! But I think what gives this look a festive feel is the brooch, its this big leafy shaped brooch that has gold gems on it which sparkle when light hits it. Its one of my favourite brooches and it goes with the rest of the outfit so perfectly! I Hope you all enjoy the last weekend before christmas!

Christmas Bedroom Tour | 2016

There are 10 days till Christmas eve ! Which is when my family celebrates christmas, has christmas dinner and opens presents. The 25th is for santa presents, watching christmas movies in our pyjamas and eating leftovers. Christmas being my favourite time of the year (isn't it everyones?) I cant help but decorate my room to make it feel really festive (I want to wake up and be surrounded by christmas) My favourite part is my christmas tree, I actually purchased the tree for about $20 at an end of season sale, its not the fullest looking tree but you can really fill it up with garland and ornaments to make it look full ! I found this silver and gold garland which I think gives an interesting look because of the duel colours. Another tip I have for decorating a christmas tree is to start out by adding simple one coloured ornaments. What you want to do is put them at the end of the branches to fill up the inside of the tree as well as giving it some dimension. For my tree I just used a box of gold ornaments, the box came with 3 different shades of gold. I also added some plain white and clear ornaments that kinda look like pearls to give it some shine. At the end I added my more "special" ornaments, my favourites are the ballerinas and the ornaments that clip on to the branches and have a thin feather on them.

My second favourite pice of decor is my New York snow globe!  I actually got it this year and I can't put it down. New York city is my all time favourite place in the world so being able to see New York from every view point in my room makes me so happy!  I also love that its a different kind of snowglobe, its not falling snow its falling gold glitter which just adds to the magic. This is how i imagine New York to be like at christmas time, filled with lights and magic. I haven't had the chance to go to New York City at Christmas time i've been in the summer but it is the highest thing on my list of things to do. I feel like every year Toronto adds more and more christmas decorations on the streets making it more and more festive and it looks beautiful ! I hope one day all the stores and buildings participate and go full out with Christmas decorations. But anyway if you would like to see my room decorations in motion make sure you click the video down below! I hope you are having a magical holiday season so far <3

Buffalo Check Cape

There are less than two weeks till  Christmas and I couldn't be more excited ! Starting today there will be holiday posts going up leading up to Christmas ! To start us off I am wearing this buffalo check cape that has a sort of Christmas Cottage feel (I was going to make a little red riding hood marrying the hunter joke...but i'll refrain) My favourite way to wear this length of cape is with shorts and tights because it gives a vintage childlike look. I feel like in the early 1900's young children (girls) would wear dresses and tights in the winter (it was a different time... that I wish I was born in) with a coat of similar length overtop creating this sort of bell like shape, think of vintage Christmas cards. I really love that look and I try to recreate it as much as possible. I also paired this outfit with a headband, I haven't worn one in so long and its nice to go back to my roots wear one again. As for shoes I wore these small kitten heels with a gold buckle on them (kinda looks like the buckle on a pilgrims belt TBH) But I think it matches the look perfectly!! I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead and are looking forward to some holiday posts this week ! Make sure to follow me on instagram for more holiday pictures !  link here
