Argyle sweater vest

Trees are finally starting to bloom and they are looking beautiful ! its nice to see some pretty colours when you are outside. The rest of the week is suppose to be so warm so i can't wait to wear some pastel colours which have been hiding in storage all winter. I have been really into sweater vests they are such a fun piece to wear, especially argyle ones. I don't have many things with an argyle print on them but i am definitely hoping to invest in some in pastel colours. Underneath the vest i wore a plain white long sleeves chiffon shirt and paired it with gray shorts. To bring the colour black back into the outfit i opted for black tights. i felt the outfit was a bit too black and white so for a pop of colour i put on a red headband and grabbed a small red purse. Small purses are my favourite kind of purses right now, they are so pretty and i love the daintiness of them. And of course no look would be complete without heels, these are black and white with a strap around the ankle which is my one of my favourite looks right now. Its a long weekend where i live so i am really looking forward to that this week, as well as my birthday in exactly 2 weeks! :)

NYX Class of 2016 Prom !!

Last night i went to the NYX class of 2016 prom event, and i had the best time! There were cocktails and hors d'oeuvres as well as the cutest lip shaped cookies! The party was at the church of berkeley in downtown toronto, which is a really awesome venue!  it used to be a church and has beautiful columns and a balcony on the second floor that overlooks the party. At each corner they set up different station where you could take pictures with different props which was really fun! They also set up a makeup station so you could look at their newest makeup. But i think my favourite part of the event was that it was prom themed and you had to dress up in prom attire, Which as you guys know dressing up is my favourite thing in the world! so i was over the moon! Each guest was also asked if they could bring a dress whether it be new or gently used to donate to girls who cannot afford a dress for prom, i think this is such a great cause because its not something most of us think of. Overall it was a great night filled with great people and beautiful dresses!

Chanel inspired

i hope you are all having a wonderful week!! i decided to put together a chanel inspired outfit this week... and i realized how much black and white things i own haha. I grabbed this little white  jacket and layered it over top of this white blouse, that has ruffles on the chest and the sleeves. I made sure that the ruffles on the neckline were visible while wearing the jacket as well as the small black strings that form a bow, i think its the perfect touch.  I wanted a print in the outfit so i grabbed this thin chiffon polka dot skirt. i just love the shape this skirt gives, i always feel so feminine while wearing it. Tights were a must because it's still a bit chilly so i opted for a pair of plain black ones. As for a purse i grabbed this black and white tweed purse which i am obsessed with! i think its such an interesting look (i also have the same bag in all cream!)  and to top it off i put on a pearl headband with a flower on it and of course a chanel brooch.  i kept the makeup pretty minimal and focused on the top lashline to make my eyelashes appear longer and my eyes more elongated.

Red and black striped

Happy Monday, i hope you all had a wonderful weekend and a great mothers day! My mom is currently not in the country so we weren't able to celebrate it yesterday. But we are postponing it to next weekend! i still managed to have an eventful weekend, on friday i went shopping downtown to find a dress for an event that i am going to this week and then hung out with my boyfriend (watched full house again). on saturday i went to a work dinner and then met up with some friends and we went out for a drinks. all i wanted to do on sunday was sleep... are you even in bed and wish you had room service in your own house lol (although not going to lie ...the idea of eating food in my room kinda freaks me out lol) i just wanted to stay in bed forever haha, but i managed to get out of bed and went shopping as i usually do on sundays.

The weather was beautiful this weekend filled with sunshine, it really feels like spring! i think today i will switch over my closet from fall/winter to spring/summer... i wont be needing winter coats anymore haha. But even tho its warm outside some days are a bit on the colder side so for this outfit i put on this thin, high neck shirt. i have been really into stripped clothing for some reason, so you will probably be seeing a lot of that. to keep it simple i just paired it with this plain black skirt and this cute litte red bag. For some interest i put on these plated black heels which i think are beautiful!
some of the pieces i am wearing have been in my closet for over a year so they are currently not in stores, but i have linked some similar pieces at the bottom so you can achieve a similar look. :)

Cream trench coat

Some spring days are sunny and warm while others are gloomy and rainy.... which is the perfect occasion to wear a trench coat! i've had this particular one in my closet for years and to be honest i have no idea where it is from, it doesn't even have a tag on it. But i added some similar styles to the bottom of the post so you can shop Similar styles :) since the trench coat is cream i decided to keep the rest of the outfit pretty light. i picked out this nude coloured pleather skirt, this is a colour i have recently been drawn to its so beautiful! Especially for this time of year. To add some texture to the outfit i paired the skirt with a white ruffled chiffon blouse. i LOVE ruffled shirts its such Shakespearean look that i am for some reason obsessed with, especially with the added bow at the top.  To keep the outfit from being too simple i put on these printed tights, they are houndstooth, some of the colours include nude (the same nude-y pink as the skirt) and a bit of a brownish purple. I think it matched the outfit perfectly! I pulled in the cream colour again in the shoes. As the finishing touch i added this light brown Tory Burch headband, with a bow on it of course!
