Saturday Night in the City

Nothing says "Night Out" quite like a beaded 1920s dress. They way the beads sparkle as you walk through the city streets, they almost seem to mimic the lights from the skyscrapers. I love the feeling of getting dressed up to go out at night, the process of getting ready is almost as much fun as going out. I hung out with my friend Mikayla on Saturday night, we went to Louix Louis, which is a restaurant at the St.Regis. It was my first time at Luix Louis and I loved it! I will for sure be going back soon! Such a great atmosphere and drink selection, and its right in the middle of the financial district in the core of Downtown Toronto. It was fairly warm night (For the end of September) so I wore this purple 1920s inspired dress, I thrifted it last year and I finally got a chance to wear it! I also brought this cream coloured (vintage) fur shawl to keep me warm. And can I just say... nothing compares to real fur when it comes to keeping warm. These are the types of pieces I've been trying to add to my closet, beaded dresses and vintage fur (Among other things). I bought a STUNNING vintage beaded dress at the Toronto Vintage clothing show (link to video here), and I'm always on the hunt for vintage fur at thrift stores and vintage shops. What is your ideal going out outfit???

  1. Hi Carolina,

I love the dress, hair and make-up, and the photography.

But it makes me sad to think of the animals that died to produce the fur. Even if it was a long time ago, that still doesn't make animal cruelty acceptable.
