Through the Flowers In Stratford

Hello! It's the start of another week and I wanted to share the outfit I wore this weekend in Stratford!  I took a little day trip on Saturday to get out of the hustle and bustle and I had an amazing time! I visit Stratford twice a year, once in the summer (to enjoy the flowers) and once at Christmas time (to look at Christmas decorations). I am so glad I went this weekend because the flowers were in full bloom !  There is this little garden by the court house that has the most beautiful flowers! There is also a little river and benches.

It was a REALLY Hot on Saturday so I wore this 1950s sleeveless dress. Its a warm toned taupe colour with a white section at the front. It also has these large plastic buttons and a belt to cinch in your waist. Whats interesting about this dress is that the belt ties at the front! so it creates a really fun detail. I'm not normally a sleeveless top/dress person but it was simply too hot to wear anything else! I paired the dress with this big vintage hat, the hat has these little taupe polka dots on the top... that so happen to match the taupe on the dress perfectly ! ;)

As for the rest of the accessories, I wore these simple white gloves. And as much as I LOVE gloves for summer... I won't lie its kinda frustrating to have to constantly take them off to use my phone... sigh why must everything be touch screen! For my purse I grabbed this 1950s straw? hay bag? its's not quite wicker, its much softer , so I'm not exactly sure what material it is.. but you get the idea. And for shoes I wore my strappy taupe heels... I feel like I might have to retire them by the end of the season but I have yet to find a replacement! Let me know what you guys think of this look in the comments!
