My Holy Grail Products - MUST HAVES !

Hello! I hope you are all doing well !  For todays post I thought I would share my favourite, must have, HOLY GRAIL products! These are items I have bought over and over again (some I've lost count how many time I've bought them haha) I would say I'm a very loyal person when it comes to brands. Once I find a beauty/skincare product that I like I tend to stick to it and try other items from that brand.  I have a little bit of everything, and most of these items you can get at the drugstore ! So without further ado lets get into it!

1. Nuxe: Huile Prodigieuse. This is a multi-purpose dry oil for face, body and hair. It nourishes, repairs and beautifies with 7 botanical oils : Tsubaki oil, Argen oil, Macadamia oil, Borage oil, Hazelnut oil, sweet almond oil. Oh and its also Vegan! I LOVE this oil. I think this is my 5th or 6th bottle (Or maybe more.. the first few times I bought it the bottle didn't have a spay nozzle yet haha) I always buy the 100ml one because I use it every day. It leaves the most beautiful satin sheen look on the face that quickly dissolves, so it doesn't leave an oily residue. But it gives you almost like an inner glow? it's really beautiful. I use this every morning after washing my face, its the first layer I put on before my moisturizer. I end up using like 5 sprays every morning and sometimes I use this with a Gua Sha. I could not recommend this enough!

2. Nivea Pure & Natural organic aloe vera Moisturizing day care cream.  Ok so funny story about how I started using this moisturizer... Years ago there was a paparazzi photo of Kate Middleton shopping and she was seen purchasing this moisturizer. I remember seeing the photo in a magazine and thinking I HAD to try it because she uses it lol. Who knows if she even uses it, but I ended up loving it!  It's part of their pure and natural line (I use the body cream from the same line! I'll do a must haves for body care post soon!) This cream is perfect for daytime Its light enough to wear under makeup but also provides 24 hour hydration. It's made from naturally sourced ingredients including Organic argan oil and organic aloe vera. It's best suited for people who have normal to combination skin. It also smells so fresh and clean and glides so softly on the skin!

3. Gisou Honey infused hair oil.  I'm sure you've seen this product all over instagram, it was created by OG fashion blogger Negin Mirsalehi (She has the most fabulous hair!) unfortunately she no longer post on her blog and focuses more on instagram! This oil has been out for a while now but I was a bit skeptical at first because since its a brand that stemmed from an influencer, I questioned if the product is actually good or if people bought it because they liked her as an influencer.  I saw more and more glowing reviews from people that didn't even know her so I decided to give it a go! and I'm happy I did! This is the most expensive item I'm mentioning at $60 for 50ml... but you only need a tiny drop so it lasts a really long time!  This is the second time I purchase a bottle and the first one lasted me almost a year. I do vintage hair most days with rollers so I don't like products that weigh my hair down, this hydrates my hair without adding extra weight to it! My natural hair is very flat and straight (It looks flat ironed when I let it air dry) so I also don't like oils that make my hair look greasy. Of course with any oil if you over do it or apply it on the scalp it will look greasy but I find if you add a tiny bit of this products and focus it on the ends it works wonderfully! It has a slight scent ? almost like honey? It's so subtle that sometimes I don't even notice it and if I do, its only when I'm applying it. I really recommend it if you want to splurge on a new hair oil!

4. Ponds Cold cream. This product has been around for over 100 years!  It came into production right before the turn of the century and boosted in sales in 1915. It's a classic for a reason! Cold cream is really effective at removing makeup and I've been using it since I was like 14. I've always avoided makeup wipes and cotton pads to remove makeup because I find it so wasteful! Ever since I started wearing makeup I basically wear it every day so I feel guilty using disposable products to remove it. So I started just rinsing it off with water... however I didn't find it as effective. So I watched some old 1940s videos explaining how to use cold cream. At the time they all used tissue paper (Kleenex) and no water? To me it seemed a bit harsh on the skin so I found a balance! In the photo above, do you see those little rolled washcloths? They are baby face washcloths! So I use them to wipe the cold cream from my face and it helps at removing my makeup (I use the softer side and always wet! also don't rub your skin its more of a pat and slight glide when needed). I'm also incredibly lazy so I end up removing my makeup in the shower. I hang one little washcloth in my shower before turning the water on and I grab a little bit of cold cream before going in the shower. CAUTION: don't use hot water on your face! I always wet the washcloth with luke warm/coldish water! Then I rinse the washcloth with some soap and water and let it hang to dry. The next morning I put it in the hamper and then it goes in the washing machine!

5. Nuxe rêve de miel face cleansing and make-up removing gel. I have been using this cleanser/makeup remover for about 3 years now and its amazing!  I actually love the brand and want to try a few more of their products! (I'm currently trying one of their eye creams, but I'm only half way done my first bottle, so I can't do a full review yet!) I use this cleanser/makeup remover as my double cleanser!  So after I use the ponds cold cream I'll use this! I keep it in my shower lol... I'm not sure if i'm suppose to do that... but I figure if the water is luke warm/cold-ish whats the difference from doing it in the sink after? This cleanser is infused with honey and sunflower oil and has a slight honey scent to it! Its amazing as a double cleanser and leaves my skin looking and feeling so soft. However I will note: that this is a face cleanser so avoid contact with eyes.

6. Ponds Dry Skin Cream. Ahh this Ponds moisturizer... love of my life! If you are going to buy one product from this post make it this one! I've been using it every night since I was like 12. My dads mom used it, and my great grandmother on my moms side used it and she had amazing skin! In my opinion there is no better moisturizer! The company has been around since 1849 but I'm not sure what year this particular moisturizer was released. It's a rich formula that slowly sinks into the skin. Like I said I use it every single night before bed and I really layer it on. It's such an affordable price that I don't worry too much about how much I'm applying. so I HIGHLY recommend it!

7. Nivea Creme. I'm sure most of you guys have seen this product on the shelves its sold basically everywhere, pharmacies, grocery stores, convenience stores etc! it also comes in numerous sizes from a tiny travel tin to giant 400ml containers.  This product has been around since 1911 and if you want to read more about the history of it (And photos of the original tin!) click HERE. This moisturizer is a bit different because its an all purpose creme. It's great for knees and elbows or any dry patches. But the way I like to use it is after my evening shower. I hop out of the shower and I don't pat my face dry I leave it wet and then I apply the creme. I find that if my skin is completely dry it doesn't glide on as well, but with wet skin it applies and sinks in beautifully!  I do this every other day... not sure how I came to that conclusion but If I use it every day its a bit much. I think in the photo I have a 100ml container and that lasts me a while because I only apply a little bit.

Well There you have it !  My holy grail beauty/skincare products! I really wanted to do this post because I find that we are currently living in a world where people are constantly buying and trying new products. People will swear by a product one day and then a month later they moved on to something else (That they now swear by! lol) So I wanted to show you some products that I have been using for years and don't plan on stopping! If you go further back on my blog you'll see me mentioning this products from time to time. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
