Varsity Green

Even tho the weather is back to seasonal, the trees are starting to bloom and the grass is getting greener! So to celebrate nature coming back to life I am wearing my green varsity sweater....that isn't actually from anything... its originally from Joe Fresh lol... Either way it pairs perfectly with my vintage 1940s pleated skirt. I layered the sweater over a white blouse, along with my favourite vintage necklace. I've worn this necklace every day since I got it and its my favourite thing in the whole world. For shoes I went for something casual since I'm not doing anything special. I grabbed my brown block heels and paired them with some white bobby socks. The brown balances out the brown in the skirt and ties it all together. Yes, I know this is more of a fall look than a spring look but I haven't switched over my closet for the season yet haha!  I'm doing that this week ! RED

Wow am I obsessed with this outfit ! I found this matching set (dress and jacket) at the thrift store for $17 and it might be my best thrift find yet!  Yes I know I've said that before but matching sets are hard to find in my size and also the fact that it has the most perfect 1940s silhouette makes it all the more special. I paired it with a red 1940s hat that I got for Christmas. For the accessories I kept them simple, I am wearing black t-strap heels and a black vintage handbag.

on this day I went to dinner with my friend Mikayla. We've been planning this dinner since the start of the year and the weather was always horrible so we had to keep rescheduling. Luckily on Saturday the weather way beautiful and we were finally able to catch up! We went to the new Piano Piano location on Colborne Street. It was a beautiful spot to have drinks, a bit loud but it has a great ambience.  You can find some photos of the night below, all taken on my phone (sorry for the lower quality).... oh and as for the photos with the sparkler we weren't celebrating anything LOL, our waiter just asked if we wanted one for fun haha. let me know what you think of this outfit in the comments below!

Capturing the Sunlight

The sun was shining all last week.... as I'm sure you all know from my last couple of posts haha. I spent another day soaking up the sunshine in this light pink knit top. I thrifted this top about a month ago and its one of the only summer pieces I have in my closet right now (I haven't switched over my closet for the season yet). I layered it over a sleeveless white collared blouse, I do this all the time because it makes the outfit a bit more interesting. I paired it with this pleated cream skirt, which you guys have seen a million times because I wear it constantly... it matches everything ! I would say a pleated cream skirt is a staple in my wardrobe. I probably wear it more than a black skirt if I'm being honest.
Unfortunately it seems like the summer like weather has come to an end and we are back to more seasonal temperatures (actually its suppose to snow tomorrow). So for now I'll be featuring my Spring pieces!  Let me know what you guys think of this look in the comments below!

Cream Puff

The warm weather continues and I have been DYING to wear this outfit ! I Thrifted this knit top and this skirt before Christmas and they match perfectly!  The straight cut shape of the skirt mixed with the small puff sleeves creates the most perfect 1930s silhouette. The knit top is originally from Zara but it does have a vintage look to it and I think it will pair nicely with numerous things. I kept the rest of the outfit simple with some small black heels and a vintage black velvet handbag. Let me know what you think of this look in the comments below!
