Kisses from Paris

Hello! As you have seen on my instagram I am currently in Paris! It feels amazing to travel after all of the lockdowns. The flight is less than 8 hours from Toronto and I spent it watching movies!  I watched Funny Face  and Mrs Harris Goes to Paris on the flight. I also tried to get some sleep on the plane.  Paris, my favourite city was the first stop of the trip! The truth is my first day in Paris was spent dodging the rain, it was so bad I had to go back to the hotel and wait for it to clear. I was wet and cold the whole day.  Everyone always romanticizes Paris in the rain (Midnight in Paris, I'm looking at you). But I much prefer to enjoy the city when I'm not getting wet. Regardless I did some walking around the first day but only managed to take photos of 3 buildings, Hardly post worthy. The second day was a beautiful day with the highlight being visiting the OpĂ©ra Garnier, But you'll have to wait until my next post to see the photos from that!

I started the day off with breakfast at Le Train Bleu!  Located on the second floor of the Gare de Lyon. Honestly one of the most beautiful restaurants I've been to. The beautiful paintings on the walls and on the ceiling are breathtaking! and look at those chandeliers! so beautiful.  If you want to visit the restaurant they are open for all meals of course, but I ended up going for breakfast. I had a small croissant and small pain au chocolate with coffee (Which comes with a madeleine!). It was delicious and a great way to start my morning.

Plaza VendĂ´me
My first stop was the Opera, but like I said you'll have to wait for the next post! After that we took a walk through the Plaza VendĂ´me. It was crazy to see so many people lined up to go into the stores. Something you didn't really see before the pandemic, unless it was boxing day or something. Or maybe I'm out of the loop ? because last time I was here there wasn't lines to go into the stores. The buildings are all gorgeous of course, I would've gone in to some of the stores if it wasn't for the lines. Oh well maybe next time!

A MUST stop when in Paris!  Actually LadurĂ©e is a must stop anywhere in the world, it's a crime not to stop and eat at least one Macaron when walking by. I won't lie I felt like an OG fashion blogger taking that photo of my coffee cup, it reminded me of the earlier days of instagram. I got one Salted Caramel, my mom got passionfruit and we tried the lemon... we ended up getting more lemon ones after we finished these because it was so good. I always want to get some of the fun coloured ones (Green and pink) but I'm more of a salted caramel girl.... although lemon is one of my top picks. And I got an Americano!

Then I walked through the Jardin Des Tuileries, through the Jardin des Champs ÉlysĂ©es, ALLL the way up the Champs ÉlysĂ©es and ended the day at the Arc de Triomphe. My favourite way to travel is just by  walking through the city and taking it all in! it was such a beautiful day outside so it was perfect for a long walk! I had an amazing second day in Paris (especially when compered to my first day haha.) I Hope you enjoy this little recap of my day!! XOXO
