Plaid Pants in Montreal

I spent this past weekend in Montreal, Just a small getaway to clear my head and to recharge my creative energy (oh.. that sounded so lame.. sorry) You know how being in a new space/enviorment helps you think differently and gives you ideas?  I feel like thats what I needed. Also another reason I went to Montreal was to go to the barbie exhibit ! If you live in Montreal or around it I highly recommend it!  Its free admission and you get to see so many Barbies and re-live your childhood ! It's so inspiring to see all of the amazing outfits and detail that goes into them to creating the perfect look.  As you know I love colour and as I mentioned in my previous post I love having an overly matching look, something that I also saw throughout the exhibit. For this outfit I was inspired by that and wore these amazing yellow plaid pants from Shein ! (link to similar) What I love about them (Besides the amazing colour) is that they are high waisted and loose fitting. Making them perfect for cold days because you can layer them over tights for extra warmth. Thats what I did because I spent the majority of the day walking around outside. The pants also have an elastic waist so they do cinch in the waist which helps create a more feminine figure, I did however add a black belt to prevent the pants from looking like pyjamas lol.  For my top I wore a black turtleneck sweater from Jcrew and a black coat form H&M. To tie the yellow colour back in I wore this yellow beret which matched perfectly ! Let me know what you guys think of the look down in the comments below !
