Blue Flared Pants

I cant believe its almost march, it seems like only yesterday that we were ringing in the new year. we've had a cold winter but it seems like things are starting to warm up a bit and I'm getting hopeful for spring !  so many outfits planed for the warmer weather starting off with this outfit which is a great transition look when switching from winter to spring. I am wearing these amazing blue flared pants that have a slight fraying to them (not gonna lie they kinda look like a chicken suit) but I think they are really elegant and a great statement piece. I paired the pants with a simple white turtleneck from le chateau, you guys have seen this turtleneck non stop this winter. and topped the look off with a green cabby hat ! I hope you guys like this look, let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Red and Audrey

It snowed the entire weekend ! meaning I stayed inside and caught up on some editing, I also read this Limited edition Audrey Hepburn Life magazine. Audrey has been such a huge inspiration in my life, not only fashion wise but also in the way she was as a person.  She was so effortlessly classy and carried herself in a strong but elegant manor. Not only was she a talented actress but also an amazing humanitarian, something she was very dedicated throughout her whole life. It was such a great read along with beautiful photographs, and I highly recommend it ! On another note I've been sooooo obsessed with paid pants lately I think they are so much fun and a great way to add some interest to an outfit. I of course had to own a pair of red plaid pants, seeing as red is my favourite colour to wear. This particular pair of pants is from H&M, they're so comfortable!  perfect for laying around the house. I paired the pants with a bright red knit turtleneck from J Crew. This sweater is the perfect length, slightly cropped but you can still tuck it into pants or a skirt. This outfit was largely inspired by the fashion in the early 1970s with the bright colours and overly matching. I love outfits that are a bit too matchy-matchy I think its so much fun and keeps things interesting. Let me know what you think of this outfit in the comments below !

Milkshake

We are headed into the second week of February and hopefully getting a bit closer to the start of spring, it feels like this winter had been a never ending winter (non)wonderland. With frigid temperatures and mountains of snow I've had no choice but to stay inside and hibernate. As a person who loves to do things and be active (I don't mean sports... lol I just mean I like activities and doing things) I find it incredibly hard to stay inside looking for things to do all day. On days I do go outside I end up hopping from coffee shop to the mall and thats pretty much it. This has lead to me drinking way too much coffee a day  and excess shopping lol. With all the new Items I purchased this winter (Check out my January haul, all about the things I found during the Zara sale !  Link here) I had to do a wardrobe clear out, while doing this I realized how many things I rarely wear or have only worn once. This is a problem in many ways, not only financially but it also on the effects that fast fashion and fabric pollution causes on the enviorment. I also noticed that some of my most worn pieces are older pieces that I've had for years or items I thrifted. I think this is due to them being a bit more unique, which I think is the direction that I want my closet to go in.  I always want to try new things when it comes to fashion, whether its a certain style or trend but I always end up regretting it or not liking it as much and I revert back to my usual girly/dated clothes. I love clothes that look like they are from a different decade without them looking like a costume. I think women who commit to dressing in a particular decade every day are admirable and it takes a lot of confidence and commitment. I personally prefer to mix older styles with some modern pieces to create a modernized version of that look. I always fall back into the 50's/60's, those are my main decades of interest.  I am open to the 40's/70's and sometimes the 20's, although I find it a bit harder to reference on a day to day basis. This particular outfit I am wearing is definitely a 1950's style look with the fit an flare dress. This dress is from Romwe and it is the Embroidered mesh overlay circle dress (Link here), I think the colour is beautiful and perfect for spring, and  the sheer white sleeves are such a nice detail that you don't normally see in dresses.  I paired the dress with a thick white belt so cinch in the waist and added a white bow to my ponytail. This whole look got my really excited to explore more with vintage fashion, Let me know what you guys think of this outfit in the comments below !

Winter Florals

Another weekend has quickly gone by, and I spent the majority of it watching shopping/Thrift with me videos on youtube. I find it so interesting to see people shop I'm not really sure why lol (If I'm not shopping I'm watching videos of other people shopping.... I have a problem lol) This has inspired me to do a bit more vlogging on my own youtube channel, which if you didn't know, I upload on 1-2 times a week ! If you want to check it out click here !  As for todays outfit I am wearing this amazing navy blue floral dress from Shein and it is the Tie neck flower print dress (Click here). I love the dark winter floral print, its a great way to bring a little spring into your winter wardrobe. I paired the dress with these maroon knee high tights that pull the maroon shade on the dress. For an extra layer of warmth I am wearing this lovely dark brown (Faux) Fur coat from H&M and topped the look off with a dark brown beret. I recently got this dark brown beret in kensington market and it was a nice addition to my collection ! I was a little unsure of how the brown would look with my hair colour but I can already think of a million outfits I can wear it with :)  Let me know your thoughts on this look in the comments below !

Light Blue Florals

And just like that a whole month went by, its crazy how quickly January flew by.... this was probably due to the amount of time I spent inside avoiding this freezing cold winter (UGHHHH). But as much as I hate winter I am glad that I live in a place with changing seasons. I don't know how people who live in a place where its always hot deal with it, I feel like I  would get so bored of wearing the same type of clothes all year round. For that reason I thought I thought I would show you an outfit that mixes some spring pieces with winter ones because its only the beginning of January and I'm already ready for spring clothes. This beautiful light blue floral print chiffon dress is from Shein and it is the Frill detail bishop sleeve tiered botanical dress (Link here). I personally love this style of floral, it always makes me think of wallpaper from the early 1900's.  I think the neutral colours of the flowers go perfectly with the overall muted tone of the dress. I paired the dress with a white coat that brightened the look up by pulling the white from the flowers. I also added some white booties with silver accents and a white beret to finish off the look.  Let me know what you guys think of this look in the comments below !
