Bubble Gum Pink

Bright pink has been everywhere these past few weeks, I keep seeing it in street style shots as well as in all the stores. As much as I love pink I've always gravitated towards lighter more pastel shades rather than bright pink. This coat might actually be one of the brightest pink pieces in my collection. I love its girly shape and colour. I've always loved this sort of mod style coats that are fitted at the shoulders and then sorta bell out towards the bottom, it reminds me of dresses from the 1960's and anything that gives a nod to that era makes me immensely happy ! I paired it with some simpler pieces like this super soft cream sweater which happens to be my most worn top in my closet. I got this sweater a few years ago in the elderly lady section at sears and its everything I wanted and more. To give the outfit some interest I wore this black and white plaid skirt. Now you guys know how much I love plaid skirts so you know I am trying to work them into my outfits before it gets super warm outside haha.  I tied the black and white back into the outfit through the shoes, these are one of my favourite pairs of shoes they have a slight vintage look to them that I love! I feel like lately I've been looking more into vintage fashion, which is something I've always been interested in, but lately it's all I've been thinking about. If any of you have any good recommendations of books/movies from the 60's/70's I should look into let me know in the comments below!
